kdb405 Report post Posted December 22, 2017 I have an 08 ford edge, I was on my way home from work and ran the my car out of gas. I called a friend and he brought me a 3 gal gas can, with 1 quart gas an 2 and 3/4 gal of water. I got another 3 gal of gas this time got the car started, it drove for about 500 feet and died. the car hasn't started since. took it to a mechanic, who wants to replace the injectors, the fuel pump, and drop the tank. checked the fuel pump and its pumping fuel. I just don't know what to do. I know one thing I'm not gonna pay that mechanic $2400.00 to replace parts that don't need to be replaced Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
